Hudson, NY resident Debra Gallo sent in this wonderful photo of some of the people who made up the maintenance crew at the Girls Training School in 1954. Problem is we don’t know the names of any of these men or anything about them. Do you?
If so, let us know know in the comment section or contact us info@prisonpublicmemory.org
Also, does anyone recognize the room and building they are gathered in?
Thanks so much for your help.

The nice looking fellow in the center, with the tie, is my grandfather, Robert Cooper

Indeed! Could you tell us more about him? Do you know how long he worked there? What his job entailed? Do you remember any stories?
Thanks so much for writing!

I never knew him because he died before I was born but I will be more than happy to speak with my mom (his daughter) about your inquiries. Unfortunately, my grandmothe, his wife, Anna Cooper, died 8 years ago as well. I wil do my best. I believe my mom said she and her sister used to live on the property as well..

The fellow in the black shirt with suspenders, sitting second from the left is very likely Joe Drabick.
